VW Classic 2007
Only a couple of weeks to go until we fly out for the VW Classic week! This will be our first time in So-Cal so it should be awesome!! We are on a parts hunting mission for the '59 so we should be coming home with some nice goodies!
We are also waiting on a couple of quotes to come in for our new garage build! The car is booked in for work in Mid-August so the garage needs to be built and painted before then! A cool site which I found a while ago is GarageJournal.com and is awesome! Plenty of inspiration in there for our garage build.

Adele's Story
Well, thought id give this blogging a go. Its been a while since i have been out racing, and i am really feeling the need to be back behind the wheel. I've been watching the progress of Jamie Lakes Karmann Ghia which i used to own. This car was the epitimy of what i wanted, a solid car, 2276 motor, caged i could go on all day, i loved that car! It was very hard to sell, but i knew i wanted to go faster and race seriously and the way to go would be V8.
I have for many years wanted a dragster, and finally i am in the position to be able to afford one. However any many months of soul searching i have decided to put the dragster off for a couple of years. The reasons behind this are that we could afford to build the rail, but if anything was to go wrong then we would be out until we could afford to fix, you also then have the trailer, and a bloomin good car to tow it and i could go on! Theres no point having a dragster and not be able to race.
Steve has wanted to restore and build a beetle how he wants to for a long time. This is the compromise, as i want to be back racing, and he gets the car he (We!) wants. The beetle will run 11's, after 6 years i have been doing this i need to go faster. Im sure there are plenty of people out there who dont believe we can do this, but i guarantee that we will be out next year and i will be running 11's with a car that has been built the way we want it. Im hoping the car will look very similar to the bug below which is my inspriation, i have 2 requirements from this car, for it to run 11's and have a set of Albert swan neck mirrors :)

Stanford Hall
It was our first time out to Stanford Hall VW show today, what a cracking show! We really enjoyed it and it was nice to actual visit the show and not be trading! (Well ok we still took some parts for customers!!) We have started to collect repair panels and parts for the bug and made a good start this weekend. Thanks to John King (Ex NRC) for his help today! Hookys and Wolf Panels rock!
